New Handgun Shooter
(Step 1)
TUITION: $50.00

DESCRIPTION: This class is designed to provide hands on instruction of safe handling and proper range use of handguns. This 3 hour class is a great first step for new shooters wanting to become safe and responsible gun owners.
Handgun Fundamentals
(Step 2)
TUITION: $65.00
PRE-REQUISITE: New Handgun Shooter or similar training or experience.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
A functional handgun or a rental is available (if a rental is used the ammunition must be purchased from The Range), 50 rounds of ammunition (we have ammunition available for sale at The Range),comfortable clothing and hat.
DESCRIPTION: This class will help establish essential handgun skills necessary to become a safe handgun owner and marksman. This 3 hour class covers handgun safety awareness, basic handgun mechanics, and safe handling techniques. Also the fundamentals of stance, grip, sight picture and alignment, malfunctions and more are covered.
HOLSTERED HANDGUN
(STEP 3)
TUITION: $75
PRE-REQUISITE: Handgun Fundamentals or similar training or experience.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: A functional handgun, holster,100 rounds of ammunition (ammunition is available for sale at The Range), comfortable clothing, and a hat.
DESCRIPTION: This class teaches the skills essential for those wishing to master the skills needed to safely carry a handgun on their person. This 4 hour class teaches critical holster skills to new shooters or those wishing to refresh their knowledge. This class will also serve as an introduction to moving and shooting.
INTERMEDIATE HANDGUN FOR SELF DEFENSE
(STEP 4)
TUITION: $100
PRE-REQUISITE: Holstered Handgun or similar training or experience.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: A functional handgun, holster, 200 rounds of ammunition, comfortable clothing, and hat.
DESCRIPTION: This class will have you moving, shooting, and problem solving. Learn the essentials of non standard positional shooting, critical movement skills, engaging from a seated position, and partner drills. Emphasis in on drills simulating real world scenarios, functional situational awareness, and communication skills.
TN Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit
This permit allows the greatest flexibility for legally carrying a handgun in TN as well as, in other states which share reciprocity with TN.
(Co-ed and Women’s only classes are available)
TUITION: $75.00
PRE-REQUISITE: New Handgun Shooter, or similar training or experience.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
A fully operational, quality handgun (one may be rented at The Range if needed)
Eye & ear protection (rentals available)
50 rounds of ammunition (“factory new” recommended and may be purchased at The Range)
DESCRIPTION: The state of Tennessee requires this class before filing an application for an enhanced handgun carry permit. As a student enrolled in the Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit Class you will learn about handgun nomenclature, function, operation, handgun safety, cleaning, storage, and the legal liabilities of carrying a handgun. You will also learn about ammunition malfunctions, loading and unloading, along with the fundamentals of handgun shooting. The state requires a passing score of 70% or higher on both the written and range test. There is no practice or warm up shooting. You must come prepared to shoot a total of 50 rounds from three distances. The successful completion of this course will enable the student to file an application with the state for an Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit.

Criminal and Legal Liabilities of Handgun Carry

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT : NONE
DESCRIPTION : This class covers the laws concerning criminal and civil liabilities of carrying a handgun. Permitless carry does not mean that EVERYONE can carry a handgun and it doesn’t mean that you can carry it anywhere or in all circumstances. Don't be caught unaware, learn what the law allows and what your responsibilities include.
Private Lessons
Are You A New Shooter Or An Experienced Shooter Looking To Sharpen Your Skills? Need A Personalized Gun Fitting? Private Lessons Are A Great Way To Learn!
TUITION: $75.00 for one individual $120.00 for two individuals
DESCRIPTION: This one on one training is designed to provide one hour of hands on instruction to build a unique training program specific to your needs and interests.
PRE-REQUISITE: None
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: -Working handgun or rifle (Limited availability for rent on site for handguns and AR15’s. Our rental arsenal is constantly changing. No shotguns available for rent.)
-Minimum of two (2) magazines (if not a rental or applicable)
-Ammunition: 50 to 100 rounds factory FMJ ammo
-PPE: Eye & ear protection (available for rent), face mask if COVID sensitive.
-Attire: Long pants, high collared shirt or t-shirt, closed-toe shoes, ball caps recommended.
Personalized Gun Fitting
This 1-hr lesson includes: Lane use, 3 gun rentals, one-on-one instruction, targets, one box of ammo.
TUITION: $120.00 for one individual
Security Guard Training Classes
These courses are required by the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance to obtain an Unarmed or Armed Security Guard License. The courses cover the TN Private Protective Services Law and Rules book and follow the guidelines set forth by the state.
Unarmed Guard
$50.00, 4 hours
An individual must complete the unarmed course before attending the armed guard course. However, if an individual only wants an unarmed guard license, this is the only course needed. Topics include orientation, legal powers and limitations of a security guard, emergency procedures, and general duties.
Paperwork and workbooks are included in the tuition.
Armed Guard
$140.00, 16 hours
This course is for those that want an armed guard license. It is conducted over two days. Topics include orientation, legal powers and limitations of a security guard, emergency procedures, general duties, firearm handling, safety and maintenance, marksmanship training, legal limitations on the use of a firearm, patrolling, and more. There is a written test and firearm qualification on the range. You must take unarmed within 6 months to meet state requirements for Armed Security Guard.
This class includes unarmed guard training (4 hours).
Two Year Armed Guard Recertification
$75.00 4 hours
This course meets the training requirements necessary for the renewal of the Armed Guard license.

REAL ESTATE AGENT SAFETY & SELF-DEFENSE CLASS

DESCRIPTION: This is the ultimate gun handling course! We help you sharpen your skills with special firearms and ammunition to simulate gunfights between you, the other students, and the instructor. Using the draw and fire, move and shoot, cover and conceal skills learned in Concealed Handgun you participate in force-on-force drills. You make high-speed decisions as we expose you to situations where you must decide to shoot or not. You’ll find out if you made the right decisions, and how accurate you were if you fired. The special ammunition used in the force-on-force drills is included in the tuition.
This is as close to a gunfight as you ever want to be!
Personal Assault Combat Training (Basics of Self Defense)
TUITION: $60.00
PRE-REQUISITE: None
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:
Comfortable loose-fitting clothing
Athletic shoes and a water bottle
DESCRIPTION: How will you defend yourself in locations where you cannot legally carry a firearm? You always have your body and you can use it as a weapon, but like any weapon you need quality training to use it effectively. P.A.C.T. is the first level of Personal Assault Combat Training, which teach you simple, effective, and easy to remember techniques you can use to disengage and get away from your attacker. In this class, you use the techniques taught to defend yourself against the instructor by using verbal challenges and strikes in an attempt to escape. We also address how you can defend yourself against multiple attackers. This course helps you gain the proper survival mindset and teaches you techniques to help you defend yourself by using your body as a weapon! It is also a great course for those that don’t want to carry a firearm or are not old enough, but still want to defend themselves.
A parent or legal guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18.
We have a very strict refund policy that applies to all classes and private lessons. Please be sure that you have read and understand the policy before enrolling in a class. If you have a conflict and cannot attend a class, please contact us immediately.
Terms of Sale: Payment in full due at time of enrollment to secure your space in the event. 50% of enrollment fee is nonrefundable.
Student Cancelation: More than 3 Days in advance of class date
If a student cancels more than three days before class the student has the following options:
Receive the refundable 50% portion of their tuition fee via credit card refund.
Receive a tuition credit in the form the 50% refundable portion of their tuition payment to be applied to a future class or products. (Does not expire. Not refundable for cash after issue.)
Transfer enrollment in full into a future class in the calendar of events. Does not extend into next calendar year or yet too be published event.
Student Cancelation: Less than 3 Days in advance of class date
If a student cancels in three days or less before a class, that student’s tuition in forfeited and cannot be applied to any other class.
The Range Cancelation: In the event that The Range cancels an event you are welcome to the following options: 1) a full refund of your enrollment fee, 2) transfer into another class or private lesson, based on availability, on the current schedule of your choosing, 3) store credit.
Natural Disaster or Restricted Travel at a State or Federal Level: Should the State of Tennessee, declare a travel ban, natural disaster, or state of emergency or should other travel bans be implemented by State or Federal authorities which may require the cancelation of a class The Range will reschedule an identical course within the next calendar year. No refunds will be issued due to a State or Federal travel ban related class cancelation. If students cannot attend the rescheduled course, they should contact The Range to identify alternative courses of action.
